Following a highly-successful debut performance in Birr last year, the Ballymore Connect Choir will return to the town for another uplifting concert in February 2026.

The concert will take place on Saturday 7 February at 4.00pm in St Brendan’s Church of Ireland, which once again provides a beautiful setting for an afternoon of choral music drawn from the worlds of stage, screen and popular song.

Founded in 2019, the Ballymore Connect Choir is one of the largest community choirs in County Kildare. With a current membership of almost 100 singers (including Birr native Aoife Garry) over 60 voices will take part in this Birr performance.

Under the musical direction of Owen C Lynch, the choir presents a varied and engaging programme including What a Wonderful World, The Rainbow Connection, Red Is the Rose, You Are the Reason, Go Lassie Go and Song Sung Blue, along with much-loved songs from Oklahoma, Singin’ in the Rain, The Sound of Music and many more.

The choir performs regularly in concert and is passionate about fundraising for local charities. Proceeds from this event will go to Offaly Hospice and the St Brendan’s Church of Ireland
Restoration Fund.
🎟 Tickets: €15 plus booking fee | Children €5

"This is another very special concert for me and I am thrilled that the choir will be returning to my hometown in 2026. A special word of thanks also to Maureen de Forge and the Birr Festival of Music team for doing such a fabulous job and taking all of the organisation out of our hands. This promises to be a fabulous concert and we hope to see you there."
